Live events and platform boundaries
Douyin connects using a room number or link and can receive comments, gifts, likes, entries, follows and shares. Bilibili connects using an Open Platform identity code and can receive comments, gifts, likes, entries, highlighted messages and fleet membership events, subject to platform authorization and connection status.
Entry records are not a complete online audience roster. Reliable per-person exit tracking is not provided. StreamCat supports connecting to Douyin and Bilibili live rooms at the same time, with each connection managed independently. Available event types differ by platform.
Arrange the response to each event
Configure comment keywords, gift acknowledgements and room-entry announcements. Gift rules can chain supported actions such as voice, media and OBS scene changes. Enable the rules needed for the current stream and test cooldowns before broadcasting.
Display and control are separate
A desktop overlay helps you read comments. An OBS browser source puts the selected components in the audience view. OBS WebSocket connects control actions such as scene changes. A room canvas can contain text, images, comments, a gift list and a countdown.
Voice and music
Quick voices synthesize locally. Professional voices use a hosted synthesis path and support reference audio or saved profiles. Windows media sessions supply now-playing information and previous, next or play/pause controls; this is not a song-title search or request queue.

Choose streaming tools around what you do on air
Gameplay, conversation and scheduled events call for different controls. Start with the actions you repeat during a stream: reading chat, hearing an alert, playing a clip or explaining an activity.
StreamCat combines live chat and audience interaction tools in a Windows application. A floating chat window helps the host read messages. Speech playback makes comments and alerts audible. Gift-triggered action chains arrange audio, media and scene actions in a configured sequence. Viewer companions, titles and collectible chat decorations can become part of regular streams or themed events.
Start with chat display and one interaction rule. Check message reception, audio output and the audience view before adding more features.
StreamCat, also known by its project name StreamCatDual, is a WPF-based Windows desktop livestream assistant. It is installed and runs locally on the streamer's computer, with chat and audience interaction support for Douyin and Bilibili. Platform connections and features that use online services still require internet access.
