Is StreamCat a local desktop application or a cloud application?
StreamCat is a WPF-based Windows desktop application that you install and run on your computer, rather than a cloud application used through a web page. Platform connections and features that rely on online services require internet access. Local execution does not mean that every feature works offline.
Does Douyin support here mean TikTok?
No. The documented connector uses Douyin live room numbers or links. These pages do not claim TikTok integration.
Can entry messages show everyone online?
No. Entry records are events, not a complete current online roster. Reliable per-person exit tracking is not provided. Available events depend on platform authorization and connection status.
Why is the desktop overlay absent from the stream?
The desktop overlay is for reading on your computer. Add the appropriate StreamCat browser source or room-layout address to OBS when the audience needs to see it, then check the OBS preview.
How do I choose a voice and confirm output?
Choose local quick speech or a professional profile, audition a short sentence and verify volume and the output device. Check that OBS captures the intended audio once.
Can StreamCat search for requested songs?
The documented music feature reads Windows media-session information and triggers supported media keys. It does not promise song-title search or a request queue.
Can I connect both platforms at the same time?
StreamCat supports connecting to Douyin and Bilibili live rooms at the same time, with each connection managed independently. Available event types differ by platform.
